"Curry Up" Wine Dinner with the "Dames Somms"

According to Encyclopedia Britannica a curry is any dish composed of a sauce seasoned with a mix of dried spices. In Thai cuisine, curries are called kaeng, and usually consist of meat, fish and/or vegetables in a sauce based on a paste made from chilies, onions or shallots, garlic, and shrimp paste. In short - there is a lot to know and discover about curry dishes and we have the perfect event for you to taste the world of curry.

Chef/Owner Mary Aregoni and the Chicago "Dames Somms" will host a delicious "Curry Up" pop-up wine dinner on Tuesday, June 4 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.  Our Chicago "Dames Somms" (Liz Barrett, Kim Hack, Veronica Hastings, and Gina Voci) have put together a stellar line-up of unexpected and delicious wines to to make this flurry of curry dishes extra delicious!

You will savor four courses with wine pairings for $75 (all inclusive).
Vegetarian substitutions will be available upon request. Feel free to invite guests, and sign up quickly, as space is limited! 

First course
Beef curry puffs and mango salsa
Banana blossom salads with poached chicken

Second course
Laotian red fish curry soup with rice vermicelli noodle

Third course
*Ca ri ga - Vietnamese yellow chicken curry with French bread
*Thai green curry with young jackfruit and pork  with white rice

Dessert
Coconut sticky rice with sweet mangos
