Vietnamese New Year "Tet" Feast 2019 - Year of the Pig

Following from last year's popular event celebrating Thai New Year, we are doing it again this year with traditional Vietnamese New Year "Tet" Dinner pairing with exceptional wines selected by Les Dames Sommeliers
on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 6:30pm to 9pm.

Join us for our second New Year's celebration of 2019 -- the Vietnamese New Year known as Tet, year of the Pig.  This will be a delicious pop-up dinner featuring traditional Vietnamese menu items from Dame Mary Aregoni's acclaimed Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon Sisters.  It will take place at Bang Chop (sister restaurant to Saigon Sisters) at 605 W. Lake St.

The Chicago "Dames Somms" will curate a selection of wines to accompany this traditional Vietnamese 4 Course Feast served family style
First course
Goi Ga (Chicken with cabbage and Vietnamese herbs) and Nem Cua (Imperial fried rice paper crab rolls)

Second course
Wagyu Beef Pho Dumpling Soup

Third course
Thit Heo Kho (caramelized pork braised in coconut water with egg and rice)
Bánh chúng (sticky rice in banana leaf with yellow lentils), Gio Cha Lua (Vietnamese pork rolls) and Pickled Vegetables

Fourth course
 Mut (array of fruits, nuts and candied pineapple, coconut, star fruit and ginger)

Price: $75 per person, all inclusive. The menu is gluten-free and vegetarian substitutions will be available upon request.
